New English Literature Course 08 Nov 11
English Literature is a course that allows us to build up an
inquisitive and adventurous mind. Through learning about Literature, we can
envisage different historical periods, different psychological attitudes and
scenarios we can never personally be a part of. Therefore, Mr. Butcher and Mr.
Connor will be offering a non-exam Literature course focusing on some of the
most important Literature in the English Literary Canon.
Throughout this course, we hope to build on the skills pupils
will need to help them with other analytical subjects such as History, Global
Perspectives and RE. It is also strongly recommended that pupils in Year 11, who
are anticipating taking the IB after their time at ISIB, take part in this
course to build up some extra skills ready for future education.
