31st January 2022: Ski Trip 2022
The 2022 Ski Trip was a great success! 30 students, Mr Mate, Ms Milica and Mr Marshall spent the week on the slopes in Zell am See, Austria. Some students were new to skiing and learnt new skills in the beginner group and the intermediate and advanced groups were able to improve on their skiing experiences. We were blessed with fantastic weather, as you can tell from the stunning photos, and gave us plenty of time skiing. The instructors commented on how well behaved and enthusiastic all the students from ISIB were! During the evenings, we ate together at the buffet restaurant, played team-building activities or just relaxed with pool or board games. We are excited for next years ski trip already!

27th January 2022: Primary Movie Day
PJ's, Popcorn 🍿 and Pillows !!
While part of secondary was skiing in Austria, and another part was busy doing amazing innovations - EY and Primary School had Movie "Night" in school after lunch - observing the current restriction and not mixing. On a stormy afternoon in January, who can ask for anything more than to climb in to your PJ in school and watch a movie.

26th November 2021: Christmas Tree Ceremony
Today was the annual ISIB Christmas tree ceremony. Every student had the opportunity to write a wish for the upcoming year on a bauble and add it to the tree. Joining together with their house groups, the children then decorated their own house Christmas trees. Congratulations to the Bears who were awarded the best-decorated tree! We all enjoyed æbleskiver as we worked on our creative trees!

15th November 2021: Lego Builders!
Year 1 students are learning about algorithms and following instructions in ICT lessons. The children were set a challenge to give clear step-by-step instructions to solve a problem to their friends, in this case by building a lego model! They worked collaboratively while thinking about the precise instructions they needed to meet the objective. This computational thinking will prepare the children as they build their skills in ICT lessons as they progress at ISIB.
Recently we have been working with the Lego foundation testing their brand new systems for schools and now have two full sets of classroom robotics for our Primary and Middle years that other year groups will get the chance to use soon.
