Curriculum Overview

Teaching focuses on enabling pupils to make substantial progress in the German language in an appropriate balance of spoken and written language. It should enable pupils to understand and communicate ideas, facts and feelings in speech and writing, focused on familiar and routine matters, using their knowledge of phonology, grammatical structures and vocabulary.

Topics to be studied:
Students cover a variety of topics during Key Stage 3. The topics covered encourage students to think independently and develop a wideset range of skills.

Assessment
Topics (Learning Units) will last between 4 and 9 weeks and there will be an assessment at the end of each topic and some in-between checks at mid points of the topic Assessments.
