Firstly as I say goodbye I want to thank everyone including my family, students, parents and staff for a wonderful three years. My time in the school has been a pleasure made special by all the students and a great staff, we have an amazing community of international cultures and nationalities and we have made many friends who will remain with us for life.
As for today I was overwhelmed by the comments, songs, poems and performances and the wonderful gifts from both parents and children, thank you to you all. Although the children have been telling me all week what they were doing for me – it was still lovely to see and experience. I am a firm believer in living life to the full and our family journey will continue onto Spain and yet another divergence in my career (Boundless.life), new jobs, new houses, new schools and new friends.
Many of us here at ISIB are third culture families and this makes us different to others. We travel more, experience more and probably struggle more but its all worth it for the memories. I know the school will continue to thrive and I wish you all a great summer and to enjoy the ‘Boundless life.’
As Robert Frost says, ‘ I took the path less travelled and that made all the difference.’ I hope each of your paths continue and are filled with happiness.
