Eva Sørensen

Danish Additional Language; Danish Coordinator

Eva Thestrup Sørensen was born and raised in Denmark. She lives in Viborg with her husband, and she has two grown-up children. She has graduated from Th. Langs Seminarium with English and Handicraft/Design as her specialist subjects. Since then she has completed further education in teaching Danish as second language, and in management. She has broad experience of teaching and management at Danish public schools, private schools, and language schools; prior to joining ISIB, she worked at the private school Mariagerfjord Idrætsskole, and at Lærdansk in Hadsten. Her teaching experience has focused on Danish, English, and Social Science.

In her spare time, Eva likes running, dancing ballet, practising yoga, and reading books. She also enjoys spending time with her family and friends.

Eva joined ISIB in August 2020. She is dedicated to teaching and is focused on developing best practice for supporting the progression of every child, academically and socially. She appreciates the multicultural environment at International School Ikast-Brande, and is impressed by the positive, dynamic and professional atmosphere that characterizes the school.
