Johannes Janssen

Danish Culture

Johannes is originally from the Netherlands. He came to Denmark in 1989, and has been working at ISIB since 2012.

Johannes has an advanced master’s degree in science with specializations in aquaculture and water purification systems. For many years he worked in southeast Asia, and he has taught biology, chemistry and physics at different levels in the Netherlands as well as in Denmark. While teaching biology he enjoys bringing all kinds of samples into the class and using ISIB´s well-equipped science laboratory.

Apart from teaching, Johannes enjoys chopping wood for his colleagues, cycling, falconry, reading, and spending time with his wife and two sons. Johannes like the creative environment at ISIB, the support of the staff, and the social activities.
