Early Years Support/SFO support
​
International School Ikast-Brande (ISIB) is looking for an Early Years Support Teacher with strong experience working with children aged 3 to 6. The ideal candidate will have a solid background in Early Years education, with the ability to support learning, social-emotional development and classroom routines in collaboration with the teaching team.
​
Preference will be given to candidates who have experience in Early Years classrooms/kindergartens and those who have relevant or equivalent qualifications in Early Childhood Education.
​

The position is a temporary 25 hours per week with, most likely, a January 2026 start and June 2026 completion. Upon completion, the position may still be available, dependent on the school's requirements for the next academic year.

The School:

The International School Ikast-Brande is in the Heart of Denmark. It has approximately 200 students on roll spread over the Kindergarten, Primary and Secondary sections. Our students are highly motivated and extremely positive about our school. The school is committed to providing high-quality international education to families moving to Denmark and students from the surrounding area seeking a more international approach for their children. Our students come from many different countries and nationalities providing a rich and diverse school environment. We encourage our students to find the balance between academic success and a well-rounded and balanced lifestyle. We instill in our students from a very early age the principles of right and wrong, allowing them to make good decisions. This in turn has created a positive environment where very few disciplinary issues arise.

Requirements:

• Support the planning, development, and delivery of engaging, play-based learning experiences for children aged 3–6;
• Foster positive behavior and nurture children's social and emotional development;
• Maintain a student-focused, caring, and positive mindset;
• Use creativity to help design and facilitate hands-on, developmentally appropriate activities;
• Ensure the well-being of all students by understanding the whole child and valuing their individuality;
• Observe, document and contribute to the assessment of student progress;
• Collaborate closely with teachers and participate in whole-school activities and events;
• Bring a good sense of humor and warmth to the classroom environment;
• Be internationally minded and demonstrate a strong team spirit.

Salary:

Salary is to be agreed with the Head of School.

Salary:
​
Salary will be in accordance with the collective agreement and union contract between the Ministry of Finance and the Teachers’ Central Organisation.
