Early Years Teacher / Pædagog (Ages 3–6) 

The International School Ikast-Brande (ISIB) is seeking to appoint a dedicated, qualified and experienced Early Years Teacher / pædagog to join our Early Years team. This role involves working with children aged 3 to 6, supporting their learning, social and emotional development and daily routines in close collaboration with colleagues. 

The successful candidate will bring a strong understanding of Early Years practice and the ability to create a nurturing, engaging and well-structured environment that supports each child’s development. Preference will be given to applicants with experience in Early Years settings, as well as those holding relevant or equivalent qualifications in Early Childhood Education. 

We welcome applications from motivated and reflective early years practitioners or pædagogmedhjælpere who are committed to high-quality, child-centred education. 

Start Date: August 2026 

Contract: 90%

The School 

The International School Ikast-Brande is located in the heart of Denmark and has approximately 200 students across Kindergarten, Primary and Secondary. Our students are highly motivated and contribute to a warm, positive and respectful school environment.

Key Responsibilities 

In line with the school’s policies and procedures, the successful candidate will be expected to: 

  • Plan and deliver engaging, play-based learning experiences for children aged 3–6  

  • Support children’s social, emotional and behavioural development in a positive and consistent manner  

  • Maintain a caring, student-centred approach at all times  

  • Design and facilitate creative, hands-on, developmentally appropriate activities  

  • Promote the wellbeing of each child, recognising and valuing individual needs  

  • Observe, document and contribute to the assessment of children’s progress  

  • Work collaboratively with colleagues and contribute to wider school life  

  • Contribute to SFO (outside-school provision) as required by the school  

  • Bring warmth, enthusiasm and a sense of humour to the learning environment  

  • Demonstrate an international outlook and strong teamwork

Salary 

Salary will be agreed with the Head of School based on qualifications and experience.

Salary: 

Salary will be in accordance with the collective agreement and union contract between the Ministry of Finance and the Teachers’ Central Organisation.
