Daniel Mortensen

Danish Secondary

Daniel was born and raised in Denmark. Originally from Aalborg, he and his wife moved to Silkeborg, drawn by their shared love of nature and the beauty of the area. He graduated from Læreruddannelsen in Aalborg with an International Profile. Since then, he has worked in both Aalborg and Copenhagen, teaching a variey of subjects across multiple year groups. He has worked as a homeroom teacher, a teacher for children with special needs and a mentor for teachers-in-training.

He has always been fascinated by the complexity of acquiring a new language and he has now found his passion as the Danish Additional Language Teacher for secondary at the International School Ikast-Brande. In his spare time, he enjoys delving into history, spending time with friends and family and going on trips with his wife.
