International School Ikast-Brande
House system

At ISIB students are enrolled in 4 #houses 🏠️.

This academic year the House themes are Earth 🌳, 🌪️Wind, 🔥Fire and 🌊Water.

The main purpose of the House System at ISIB is to:

  • Develop a sense of identity and belonging.

  • Celebrate academic achievements and developments.

  • Praise personal development with regards to the school’s mission and vision.

  • Honour students for their contributions towards the school’s environment.

  • Strengthen developments at a class level.

  • Value students’ service to the community

Our House System allows students to explicitly demonstrate their development of skills and successes in meeting the school’s mission, vision and beyond.

It is important for students to have the opportunity to play an active role and contribute to their school’s community.

Students can gain points for as individuals; as a class; and as a house throughout their week for the following focal areas:

  • Academic and Curriculum,

  • Competitions,

  • Mission, Vision & Personal Development,

  • Community Service & Extra Curricular Experiences,

  • Class Targets,

  • Bonus Points.

We encourage students to play an active role in the success of their house and raise any concerns or issues through the Student Representative Council.

The school hosts a number of events throughout the year to exercise enjoyment of friendly and healthy competition.

Following the Mentor programme, all Year 9 students are given the role of the House Captain.

Further information can be found in our House System Handbook.
