International School Ikast-Brande
Every year, ISIB undergoes a school inspection by a state-qualified external school supervisor ('tilsynsførende'). The supervisor is elected by parents and produces a report for both the school and parents to view. The annual report is published on the ISIB website.
From May 2018 until summer 2020, the school's parent-elected supervisor was Mr Charles Dalton. In September 2020, Ms Linda Jensen agreed to be the school's supervisor.
The next inspection is expected to take place in May 2021.
2019 - 2020 Inspection Report
The supervisor’s report of May 2020 indicated that International School Ikast-Brande is currently meeting all of the required expectations. The report also highlighted many of the school’s key strengths: our openness and kindness as a community, our teachers’ structured and well-planned lessons, and our students’ positive attitude and enthusiasm for their learning. The report also emphasized the discipline and good conduct of our students, and the harmonious blend of indoor and outdoor spaces that we enjoy as a school.
As a community of lifelong learners we believe in the value of reflection, and the importance of continually seeking for improvement and growth. An action plan has been discussed and agreed upon by the board which can be found below.

Early Years Inspection Report
In October 2020, the ISIB Early Years Department was inspected by the appointed Ikast-Brande Kommune specialist consultant, Birgitte Rønnow. The inspection report was highly positive, as was the follow-up dialogue with Ms Merete Villsen, Daginstitutionschef of Ikast-Brande Kommune, and we are pleased to share the findings. You can find the orignal Danish report below and an English translation.
