The Erasmus+ Programme is a European Union initiative that provides funding for education, training, and youth initiatives. The school regularly hosts teacher interns to assist in their development and understanding of global education. Today we lose two interns who return to their university and we are already looking forward to hosting others in the coming year.
In March 2021, the European Parliament approved an increase in funding for the programme, with €28.4 billion being allocated for the period of 2021-2027. This represents a 70% increase in funding compared to the previous period. Hopefully this will allow more interns to travel across Europe and be involved in developing their skills.
ISIB is currently waiting on confirmation of an Erasmus program to join several other European schools for small staff and student exchanges. We look forward to supporting this great exchange program in the coming years.
